Yu-Ya Huang began to play the piano at the age of five. She has studied with Prof. Konstanze Eickhorst at the University of Music Lübeck (Musikhochschule Lübeck), Germany since 2015. She has won the second prize in Ren-Ai New Star Competition and the first prize in Taiwan National Piano Trio Competition.
She attended lots of masterclasses and also got many opportunities to perform in well-known music festivals: Euro Music Festival Halle, Académie Internationale d’Eté de Nice, Internationale Klavierakademie Murrhardt and Nordland Kammermusikkurs and was taught by Bernd Goetzke, Oliver Gardon, Robert Levin, Gerald Fauth, Felix Gottlieb, Catharine Vickers and Gilead Mishory.
Yu-Ya Huang has been supported by Possehl Foundation and Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Lübeck since 2019. She not only performs as a soloist but also plays lots of chamber music. In addition to solo performance, she also studies opera coaching with Prof. Robert Roche in Lübeck, Germany. Yu-Ya currently performs in a variety of concerts in Asia and Europe.
